Music is incredible. It can excite hundreds, and unite thousands. But as an industry, it has been slow, complicated, and disparate. While the tech world has moved into the future, the music industry continues to be shaped by inefficient systems of the past. At Utopia we believe there is a better way. Which is why today we are setting out to transform the entire industry; creating new revenue streams, consolidating the data and decluttering the admin. Unlocking the industry’s full potential by unifying it all in one truly holistic space. Some might call that a Utopia.

Funnily enough, so do we. Welcome to Utopia. Where music lives.

We are building a better world for music with innovative big data technology that tracks online music sources and translates them into meaningful music consumption reports for royalty collection. The solution we’re building does not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency to the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection.

You will be responsible for the product excellence of both all existing and all acquired Product teams of Utopia. You will ensure that we deliver the right products in the right way, leveraging the full potential of product management artistry. Driving both faster go-to-market and optimized customer value through deep user insights, streamlined product delivery methods, clear product strategies, and coherent product roadmaps. You will lead the post-merger integration of products and product teams, and ensure that all acquired companies are transformed into working in Product teams, adapting the latest ways of working, and onboard all Product managers from the acquired company into the Utopia Product department.

You will work closely with both Product Designers, Product Managers and engineering to define and continuously improve ways of working. You will report to our Chief Product Officer and be part of the Utopia Product Management Team, and you will support your peers to align on a clear product strategy, and ensure we have an iterative way of evolving and improving it.

You are a proven expert in product management and will deep dive in all product management methodologies and trends. You are an expert in agile product development, especially Marty Cagan's dual-track methodologies. You will support other Product managers through both the discovery and delivery phase. You will support the Product managers to slice all work into as small chunks as possible, to speed up delivery and enable us to adjust direction fast.

You are furthermore expected to be a great colleague and friend, as the rest of Utopians will be to you. You are expected to listen and discuss, and always advocate for and support your colleagues when you can. You are expected to be open, transparent, curious and friendly.

Perks & Benefits

If you are not yet convinced by our awesome team and great atmosphere — here you have some extra frosting on the cake.

  • 🏋️‍♀️ Active work space

At the Stockholm office we have a ping pong table and a gym in the basement and people are encouraged to use them both. We also have a generous wellness grant for anyone who prefer to do other things.

  • ☕️ Breakfast every morning

Every morning we gather around the bar for breakfast. It is of course voluntary but the coffee is great.

  • 👾 A bunch of nerds

We love what we do and we do what we love. So there will be a lot of interesting discussions going on about pretty much anything connected to music or tech and a lot of Star Wars references to acompany those.

  • 🏰 A little here and a little there

We love to work together. Where exactly that is at the moment is less important.

Work @ Utopia

Do you like to work in teams with a lot of individual responsibility? Yes, we know it sound cliché but this is also how it actually is.

Every morning after breakfast we gather in our teams to plan the day, assign tasks to kickstart the days. Agile, fast and inventive is how we like it. That also gives us room to pair up or hold a workshop if we need help in finding the best solution.

A helping hand and a good coffee might just be what we need to get things done.
