The open secret is that the music industry is struggling with the very basics of music accounting: What was played, when and where? Who should get paid and how much?
Utopia Music is bridging the data gap by connecting global consumption, accurate metadata, and fast payments to an industry-wide trust platform. Our goal is to unlock creative value and enable Fair Pay For Every Play to make a better world for Music. The solutions we offer do not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection for all.
As Senior International Benefits Manager you drive continued growth through People and Culture programs and processes to attract and retain talent throughout the organisation. You collaborate with management and employees to link the business and people agenda seamlessly; executing the International employee benefits strategy with finesse.
Working alongside the Global Director of Compensation and Benefits the International Employee Benefits Manager will be responsible for but not limited to: Utopia Music’s employee benefits tools, compliance reporting, benefit renewals, open enrolment processes, monthly reconciliations, issue resolutions and International paid leave programs.
You provide key support to the global employee benefits design, implementation, communication, and administration of Utopia Music’s Global Employee Benefits programs, whilst ensuring that the programs adhere to local country regulations and support the company’s strategic growth. You offer expertise, support, and consultation on employee benefit matters either internationally, regionally or by country with general guidance. You are happy to assist, as required with the implementation of new and revised employee benefit programs, policies, and procedures to be responsive to the company’s goals and competitive practices.
Ultimately you ensure company employee benefit plans are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations on an International, regional, and country level. RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the provision of the international benefits programs in all jurisdictions where Utopia Music operates, recommend, and manage changes as required. • Managing and co-ordinating the renewals, proposals, and recommendations for renewals of all risk-based products. • Resolving employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures, working with either local broker/insurance companies as required. • Partnering with various functions People and Culture, Finance, payroll to ensure that payments and processes work smoothly. • Managing annual open enrollment process in the USA and other countries as required. • Addressing trends around claims and employee experience. • Ensuring all International, regional and country benefit programs, policies and procedures comply with Country and local laws/regulations.
Managing the International, regional, and local employee benefits offering in the employee benefit HRIS.
Updating benefit related communications and documents as needed to ensure compliance and is available for new hires, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions for employees.
Participating in/or driving projects related to international benefits.
Supporting merger and acquisition initiatives for a successful integration and transition of employee benefits.
Subject matter expert for everything International Employee Benefits Related.
Participating and/or managing international benefits projects as required.
Participating in determining innovative and scalable international solutions.
Responsible for all International paid leave policies.
Delivering the new hire orientation (delivery of employee benefits segment and design the employee benefits consent) for all international countries.
I7+ years of People & Culture experience and 8+ years in Compensation and Benefits.
Extensive knowledge of International Employee Benefits programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
A strong command of the terms, terminology, and information for benefits in the corresponding country plans.
A deep understanding of payroll processes, benefit programs systems and processes, and various benefits laws and regulations.
Competent working knowledge of relevant country-specific taxable benefit guidelines.
Experience of benefit enrolment platforms, plan portals and HMS Applications
Fluency in English and another European language a plus!
Strong passion for People & Culture, enthusiastic team player who embraces change.
Ability to exercise good judgment when making decisions.
High level of business acumen and awareness.
Expert communicator and presenter.
Hands-on experience with HRIS, compensation and benefit systems.
Solid understanding of job evaluation and job analysis requirements.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, vlookups, data manipulation).
