WHAT UTOPIANS DO
The open secret is that the music industry is struggling with the very basics of music accounting: What was played, when and where? Who should get paid and how much?
Utopia Music is bridging the data gap by connecting global consumption, accurate metadata, and fast payments to an industry-wide trust platform. Our goal is to unlock creative value and enable Fair Pay For Every Play to make a better world for Music. The solutions we offer do not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection for all.
The Global Benefits Manager will play a key role driving continued growth through People and Culture programs and processes to attract and retain talent in the organisation. Collaborate with management and employees to link the business and people agenda. Executing the global employee benefits strategy.
Working alongside the Global Director of Compensation and Benefits the Global Employee Benefits Manager will be responsible for (not limited to): Utopia Music’s employee benefits tools, compliance reporting, benefit renewals, open enrolment processes, monthly reconciliations, issue resolutions, global paid leave programs.
Provide support to the global employee benefits, implementation, communication, and administration of Utopia Music’s Global Employee Benefits programs, whilst ensuring that the programs adhere to local country regulations and support the company’s strategic growth.
Provide expertise, support, and consultation on employee benefit matters either globally, regionally or by country with general guidance. Assist, as required with the implementation of new and revised employee benefit programs, policies, and procedures to be responsive to the company’s goals and competitive practices.
Ensure company employee benefit plans are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations on a global, regional, and country level. This position is temporary for a duration of 3-6 months.
Responsible for the provision of the international benefits programs in all jurisdictions where Utopia Music operates. • Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures, working with either local broker/insurance companies as required. • Partners with various functions People and Culture, Finance, payroll to ensure that payments and processes work smoothly. • Ensures all International, regional and country benefit programs, policies and procedures comply with Country and local laws/regulations.
Manages the global, regional, and local employee benefits offering in the employee benefit HRIS.
Updates benefit related communications and documents as needed to ensure compliance and is available for new hires, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions for employees.
Participates in/or driving projects related to international benefits.
Supports merger and acquisition initiatives for a successful integration and transition of employee benefits.
Subject matter expert for everything Global Employee Benefits related.
Participates in global benefits projects as required.
Manages employee benefits implementation with Payroll, broker and in-country P&C team.
Be an ambassador of our values and constantly ensuring the wellbeing of our unique Utopia culture, aligning all People & Culture activities with organisational objectives.
The job may require travel to the sites supported by the role.
7+ years of People & Culture experience and 8+ years in Compensation and Benefits.
Extensive knowledge of International Employee Benefits programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
A strong command of the terms, terminology, and information for benefits in the corresponding country plans.
A deep understanding of payroll processes, benefit programs systems and processes, and various benefits laws and regulations.
Competent working knowledge of relevant country-specific taxable benefit guidelines.
Experience of benefit enrolment platforms, plan portals and HMS Applications
Fluency in English is a must, additional European languages are a plus!

Every morning after breakfast we gather in our teams to plan the day, assign tasks to kickstart the days. Agile, fast and inventive is how we like it. That also gives us room to pair up or hold a workshop if we need help in finding the best solution.
A helping hand and a good coffee might just be what we need to get things done.
