WHAT UTOPIANS DO
The open secret is that the music industry is struggling with the very basics of music accounting: What was played, when and where? Who should get paid and how much?
Utopia Music is bridging the data gap by connecting global consumption, accurate metadata, and fast payments to an industry-wide trust platform. Our goal is to unlock creative value and enable Fair Pay For Every Play to make a better world for Music. The solutions we offer do not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection for all.
THE ROLE
Utopia is looking for an outstanding Office Host to join our team in our brand new London Office located in the heart of Soho. As Office Host, you’ll play a critical role in the daily life of all your colleagues and have the chance to interact with a bunch of interesting people making big waves in the music industry. You'll ensure our London Office is every bit as exciting as we are as a company and runs as smoothly as a proverbial Swiss watch whilst still bringing the office to life with positive vibes and charm.

You need to bring passion, ownership and unparalleled attention to detail. You will report to the Office Host Manager-Zug.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The first and main point of contact for site facilities, services, contracts and suppliers.
- First on-call contact for security.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of buildings and facilities such as water, heating and air conditioning.
- Ensuring facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
- Arrange regular testing for fire, electrical, and safety devices.
- Overseeing building renovations and refurbishments.
- Assisting PA’s and senior management team when needed.
- Engagement with other international office hosts to regulate uniformity between all countries.
- Organizing company events.
- Welcoming visitors and visiting team members from our other offices.
- General office coordination.
- Ad hoc tasks and projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- You are highly organized and recognize yourself as being an admin genius, yet you are also bringing out your inner superhero when it comes to vibes, passion and culture.
- Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are a plus!
- You are highly proactive and are always taking the initiative to make things happen.
- You exhibit curiosity, proactively solve problems, and always get things done with a positive attitude.
- You are a skilled relationship builder with high integrity.
- You are a great teammate and pitch in to help wherever you are needed.
- Ideally you have a degree in hospitality with previous experiences in the front of house within a hotel/ restaurant/ office.
- Experience within catering is also an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
- The ideal candidate will be customer focused, driven with an extremely proactive and ‘switched on’ personality and an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character.
- You are passionate and with a positive, flexible ‘can do attitude’ who’s hands-on and leads as well as supports your team by example and thrives in working with a multicultural team and visitors alike.

- We are supporting work permits for employees that have already moved here from countries outside the EU. However, we do not support relocation at the moment. We are only recruiting within London, UK for this position as our office host will need to work on site.

Do you like to work in teams with a lot of individual responsibility? Yes, we know it sound cliché but this is also how it actually is.
Every morning after breakfast we gather in our teams to plan the day, assign tasks to kickstart the days. Agile, fast and inventive is how we like it. That also gives us room to pair up or hold a workshop if we need help in finding the best solution.
A helping hand and a good coffee might just be what we need to get things done.
