WHAT UTOPIANS DO
The open secret is that the music industry is struggling with the very basics of music accounting: What was played, when and where? Who should get paid and how much?
Utopia Music is bridging the data gap by connecting global consumption, accurate metadata, and fast payments to an industry-wide trust platform. Our goal is to unlock creative value and enable Fair Pay For Every Play to make a better world for Music. The solutions we offer do not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection for all.
THE ROLE
The Junior Operations role will support the day-to-day functions of the ROSTR Operations Team, including data entry, research, content aggregation & more. You will use a variety of tech tools (that we will teach you how to use), and touch the entire data cycle. You will be responsible for maintaining & improving processes, workflows, and create weekly reports for key internal stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You are obsessed with the music business & the artists, companies and teams behind it.
- Support and educate ROSTR users through managing inbound correspondence.
- Utilize a variety of systems and tools to actively collect & process data.
- Lead the processing of ROSTR/Utopia content aggregation & creation.
- Provide operational and project management support for these strategies & projects.
- Maintain & create process/workflow documentation.
- Stay up to date on market & music trends.
- Identify and track key metrics, and translate data into insights & trends.
REQUIREMENTS
- You are obsessed with the music business & the artists, companies and teams behind it.
- You are comfortable in a startup-like environment.
- You possess strong data and analytical skills, knowing how to interpret and activate as necessary.
- You are well organized, dedicated, and pay outstanding attention to detail.
- You know your way around tech tools & often find yourself trying new products and tools.
- You are a self-starter, quick-learner, and are comfortable working autonomously.
- You are constantly looking for process efficiencies in your work and/or life.
- You enjoy building relationships and like to communicate internally and externally.
- You believe in a strong team spirit, work ethic, with a friendly, warm attitude.
- You are an open, transparent and clear communicator.
- You strive for operational excellence.
- You have a passion for music and the creator community and have at least working knowledge of the music industry.
